About

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) - do not place in the garbage or flush down the drain.

  • Take to the Household Hazardous Waste Day
  • Search for other options on MaketheDrop.com
  • Check with your local pharmacy to see if they will take back for proper disposal

Most pharmaceutical containers that are glass or HDPE plastic with twist-off caps (like vitamin bottles) are recyclable via the blue box programme.

Non-recyclable empty pharmaceutical containers and ointment tubes should be placed in the garbage.
