About

http://www.nahbrc.org/greenguidelines/userguide_resource_reuse.html Construction activities may comprise as much as 40% of all raw materials extracted from the earth. At the same time, construction, remodeling, and deconstruction are blamed for generating 136 million tons of waste annually. Some waste material can easily be refitted back into a structure. The action would decrease both material use and waste. In addition, unneeded transportation costs associated with hauling could be eliminated.
