About

Alkaline (household or flashlight) batteries, rechargeable, lithium, nickel-cadmium, NiMH, sealed lead acid and button cell batteries should be disposed of at the Hazo Hut, which is open Wednesdays and the first and third Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia. Vehicle batteries can be recycled for free at the Central Transfer Station, Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy. 12, Morton, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
