Reuse if in good condition:

  • Donate to charitable organizations
  • Hold a garage sale
  • Sell through consignment shops or classified ads
  • Post on an exchange website (Wellington.Reuses.com)
  • Take small furniture to a County Reuse Centre
  • Use the free Bulky Item Posting Board at County Reuse Centres for large furniture

If in poor condition and made of wood, divert from landfill by taking to the Aberfoyle, Belwood, Harriston, or Riverstown waste facility.

If in poor condition and made primarily of metal, divert from landfill by placing in a scrap metal bin at any County waste facility.

Otherwise, place in the garbage.
