Christmas Lights

Many people are now moving to LED lights for the holidays, they use less energy and therefore save you money. They also help reduce waste, as they usually last longer than regular bulbs, meaning you will not need to buy new ones as often. However, you may be disposing of your old Christmas lights either because they are burnt out or to start saving energy.

If the lights still work, consider donating them to a second-hand store, such as the Salvation Army, or a shelter. Call ahead to make sure they will accept Christmas lights.

If the lights do not work then they may be disposed of in your regular garbage. If glass bulbs are broken, please follow the guidelines listed under Glass.
